It’s just about summertime, which means hot days and warm nights. As much as we love summer, we don’t love those days of extreme, blistering heat. We know keeping yourself and the kids cool this summer is a priority, so we’ve come up with some creative ways to beat the heat!
Incorporate water activities in your summer plans to cool off on an extra hot day. Spend a day by the pool and enjoy the refreshing water. To switch it up from the usual pool day, whip out the old slip and slide and turn on the sprinklers. Let the kids wreak havoc with squirt guns and water balloon fights! Take a trip to the local water park where you can relax on the lazy river while the kids enjoy the slides and wave pool.

The coast is usually about 10 degrees cooler than valleys and inland, and it has that fresh offshore wind. Have lunch at a coastal café or lounge on the beach and enjoy the cooling breeze and soothing salt air. Our Energy Solutions Euro Clad Bi-Fold Doors can deflect the unwanted heat gain that causes home interior temps to increase on hot, sunny days.

By the time you feel thirsty, you are already on your way to dehydration, so keep sipping! Drinking cold water will give your body the hydration it needs and lower your core temperature. Carry an insulated water bottle with you as a reminder to stay hydrated!

Ice cream, frozen yogurt, otter pops, we love them all! You can also freeze grapes and snack on those as a healthy alternative. Frozen chocolate covered banana bites from Trader Joe's are one of our favorites! We hope this helps you keep cool this summer, and if you would like to learn more about our Energy Solutions Euro Clad Bi-Fold, click here. |
